Good day to you all, this is a post that I wanted to write a long time ago. Now I have a motivation, as usual, induced by the Miniature Blog Carnival. This time it is hosted by the owner of Danse Macabre blog here, and the theme is "Road to rome", left for free interpretation...
Well, the mentioned road must be rocky and difficult to go through, I suppose. It is also long. And the best way of transport you have on it are probably your own feet. This kind of description brings a very obvious association - yes, you know what I'm talking about. It's preparing and painting your big, swarm army.
A road to Rome that has no end, but leads to a lot of satisfaction and fun, along with backpain, cuts on your fingers, and way too much money spent. To sum it up - it's worth it!
So, to keep things short as I like to do it, there are some photos of my current Tyranid army. I collect those minis for four years now, adding up to eventually defeat my sworn enemy, the Eldar. I hate those bastards. Actually there is 3863 points on the table (WYSIWYG, no upgrades like adrenal glands or toxin sacs). Enjoy the view:
For the Tyranid paint scheme, I use two patterns (as you can see). It's fun to have some diversity during painting, and a possibility to distinguish between two possible fleets or detachments.
As I mentioned before, the road never ends. I still have a swarm of gants, genestealers and hive guards to paint. There may also be an unit of warriors, a carnifex and some spare bits waiting for attention. And after that, I still have ideas of some additional forces to buy: a couple of biovores (they are so much fun in 8 edition!), maybe another carnifex to make a nice brood with my Old Oneye... And after that, surely, I will have to assemble some workforce of genestealer cults.

Dzień dobry wszystkim, oto post, który chciałem napisać już od dawna. Teraz nadarza się okazja: mam motywację indukowaną przez kolejną edycję Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego. Tym razem gospodarzem jest właściciel bloga Danse Macabre, a temat to "Droga do Rzymu", do dowolnej interpretacji...
Cóż, wspomniana droga musi być kamienista i trudna do przejścia, jak się spodziewam. Jest też długa. A najlepszy środek transportu jakim dysponujemy są nasze własne nogi. Taki opis nasuwa na myśl jedno bardzo konkretne skojarzenie - tak, doskonale wiecie o czym mówię. Chodzi o przygotowanie i malowanie własnej, licznej armii.
Tak więc nasza droga nie ma końca, ale prowadzi do dużej satysfakcji i zabawy, a także bólu pleców, zacięć na palcach i zdecydowanie zbyt dużej ilości wydanych pieniędzy. Podsumowując - warto nią iść!
Nie przedłużając - czyli tak, jak lubię najbardziej - oto parę zdjęć mojej aktualnej armii Tyranidów. Zbieram ich od czterech lat, z nadzieją na pokonanie zaprzysięgłego wroga, czyli Eldarów. Nienawidzę ich. Obecnie zebrałem w sumie 3863 punkty, które widzicie na stole (WYSIWYG, bez dodatków w stylu adrenal glands czy toxin sacs). Podziwiajcie widoki:
Malując, używam dwóch schematów kolorystycznych (jak możecie zauważyć). Dobrze jest mieć pewne zróżnicowanie podczas malowania, a przydaje się to również kiedy chcę odróżnić dwie floty na stole lub po prostu oddzielić dwa detachmenty.
Jak już wspominałem, droga nie ma końca. Rój gantów, genokradów i hive guardów wciąż czeka na odrobinę uwagi z mojej strony. Głębiej w szufladzie czeka też kolejny oddział warriorsów i carnifex. A kiedy już się z nimi uporam, wciąż mam parę pomysłów na dodatkowe siły: parę biovorów (w 8 edycji są doskonałe!), dodatkowy carnifex dla Old Oneye... A potem, z pewnością, trzeba będzie zebrać kompletną siłę geno - kultystów.

Ze wszystkich ras czterdziestki ta budzi moją najmniejszą sympatię... Ale mimo tych uprzedzeń muszę pochylić czoła przed ogromem pracy kolekcjonerskiej i malarskiej - która ostatecznie dała olśniewający efekt. Gratuluję pięknej armii!
