I think my last post demands a little explanation. Here's a short thing about the creation of the chest...

A nice way to make your base stand out

Behold.

Basically what you have to do to make a chest like this is to treat the GW sets plastic frames as a little pieces of wood and metal. As you can see, one became the brown fillers and the other (curved ones) are the metal frame. Here is how it looked like during production:




I takes a bit of patience and a lot of cutting, but I think that the effect is worth it. And you can hide something inside! The magnets that hold the lid are glued to the sides of the construction.

Prosty sposób by podstawka się wyróżniała

Podziwiajcie. 


Ramki po modelach GW trzeba potraktować jak kawałki metalu i drewna. Proste odcinki tworzą deski, a zakrzywione można wykorzystać jako ramę z metalu. Tak to wyglądało podczas produkcji: 






Wymaga to całkiem sporo cięcia i cierpliwości, ale efekt jest tego wart. Można schować coś w środku! Magnesy trzymające pokrywę są przyklejone do wewnętrznych ścian konstrukcji.

  1. Fajny recycling! Myślę że każdy ma mnóstwo tego surowca w domu. Kłopotem może być odcinanie wystających elementów. ALe gdy się już ich pozbędziemy...
